The weather was absolutely beautiful this weekend! In addition to our mundane weekend errands we decided to take a day trip to the Vintage Rosary.
The Vintage Rosary is essentially this couple's garden that they open to the public (Tuesday through Saturday). They raise and sell hundreds of varieties of roses, perennials, etc on the grounds. So, if you or anyone you know is interested in roses, it's worth checking out.
The rosary is located in Needville (a small town to the southwest of us)... which ended up being a little bit further away than we anticipated, but not too bad (about 20 miles).
There's not a whole lot to report about the place that the pictures can't convey (in the October album). It was a nice day, the grounds were neat (we got several ideas for our own "garden"), and the owners were very pleasant folk to talk to. They had a huge great dane named Maxim (probably 5 feet tall... just HUGE I tell you)!
All in all it ended up being a good way to spend such a gorgeous afternoon.
