Today on the way to swim class I was talking to Ryan about how he really needed to turn over to float without any help from his teacher. Once he turns over he can float forever but he hasn't been able to turn over successfully on his own. He ends up panicking and starts drowning. Anyway, I was telling him how he needed to just stay calm and turn over. He interrupted and said, "Mom, I can't. That's not what it says in my story. See right here it says - Ryan will never turn over to float by himself." I replied, "Oh yeah? That's strange because my story says - Chantell's son Ryan will turn over and float without any help today!" He responded, "No it doesn't Mom. Your story doesn't say that. You just made that up." I couldn't help but laugh. I'm the one who makes things up?
That being said he did start turning over on his own today. I was so proud. When I picked him up Miss Chelsea said he did awesome and was almost ready. I assume she was talking about his float test. Now I'm the one who will have to try not to panic.
